Cheer Home Care proudly joined the fight against Alzheimer’s disease by participating in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s at NTC Park in Liberty Station. This inspiring event brought together individuals and teams dedicated to raising funds for Alzheimer’s care, support, and research. Our team enjoyed the community spirit, resilience, and a shared commitment to making a difference in the lives of those affected by this challenging condition.

Raising Funds and Awareness

Giving back to our community is essential! To support the Alzheimer’s Association, our team engaged in fun office challenges and spread the word to our community, friends, and families. Through these efforts, we successfully raised $5,482! (to date!). This was 110% of our $5,000 goal.  Every contribution brought us one step closer to a future without Alzheimer’s, and we are grateful to everyone who supported us in this mission.

A Day Filled with Purpose and Team Spirit

The Walk to End Alzheimer’s began with an opening ceremony, setting the tone for a day of purpose and togetherness. With a 1.5-mile route that could be completed twice, participants of all ages and abilities walked side by side. Live music, team squads, and even roving characters energized the atmosphere!

PROMISE GARDEN

We particularly loved the Promise Garden stage. The Promise Garden is a powerful symbol of hope, with each flower representing the personal experiences of those affected by Alzheimer’s. It was touching to see the flowers, with personal messages of support, love, and remembrance for those impacted by the disease.

Why We Walk

At Cheer Home Care, we know firsthand the challenges that Alzheimer’s and dementia bring to individuals and their loved ones. Our mission goes beyond providing care; it’s about creating a supportive community where aging adults can live with dignity, respect, and the best quality of life possible. Participating in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s was a powerful reminder of standing together to create change.
