At Cheer Home Care and Cheer Health Care, supporting the San Diego community is closely tied to our daily work. This month, our team was proud to support three organizations serving individuals and families affected by ALS, Alzheimer’s disease, and Parkinson’s disease.

ALS San Diego Walk

Our team joined the ALS San Diego Walk, standing alongside individuals living with ALS, their families, and the wider ALS community. ALS San Diego provides vital support, resources, and advocacy for local families navigating this progressive neurological condition. At Cheer, we understand how changing mobility and daily care needs can affect an entire family. Providing specialized in-home care for individuals with ALS makes this partnership especially close to our work.

Walk to End Alzheimer’s

Cheer was proud to participate in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s, supporting the Alzheimer’s Association San Diego/Imperial Chapter and its mission to advance research, care, education, and support. An annual highlight on our team’s calendars! We were also proud to be recognized in the San Diego Business Journal as one of the Top Corporate Teams for the 2026 Walk to End Alzheimer’s. Alzheimer’s and dementia care are an important part of what we do at Cheer. Our caregivers help clients maintain familiar routines, safety, companionship, and quality of life at home while supporting families as care needs evolve.

Parkinson’s Empowerment Day

Our team also had a strong presence at the Parkinson’s Association of San Diego Empowerment Day, a day dedicated to education and connection for people and families living with Parkinson’s disease. As a San Diego home care provider experienced in Parkinson’s and movement disorder care, Cheer understands the importance of helping clients maintain independence, mobility, and quality of life while remaining safely at home.

Care That Extends Beyond the Home

ALS, Alzheimer’s, and Parkinson’s affect not only the individual, but their loved ones and caregivers too. Our team encounters these realities every day, which is why showing up for these organizations and the families they serve matters to us. We are proud to be part of a San Diego care community committed to greater education and support.
